The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Meaford.

On July 2, 2017 at approximately 1:00 pm at the shopping plaza across from McDonald's Furniture in Meaford, a man was bitten by a small white dog sitting outside a store in the plaza. The dog was off leash and appeared to be unaccompanied by its owner.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
