Man arrested after foot chase by police.
On July 22, 2017, at approximately 4:41 a.m., a man used a tool to unlawfully force entry through a rear door at a building in the 1000 block of 3rd Avenue 'A' East. The suspect was not apprehended at the time of the offence, however when he returned for a second time, images were captured on video. Police discovered his identity and officers began their search for the wanted man.
At 5:15 a.m., on July 24, 2017, the suspect was walking in the 200 block of 10th Street East, and when he saw foot patrol officers approaching, he ran to evade apprehension. After a short foot chase, the man was arrested.
As a result of the investigation, a 34 year old man of no fixed address, has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in relation to the following offences:
1. Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
2. Probation order: non-compliance (Curfew)
3. Probation order: non-compliance (Keep the Peace)
4. Probation order: non-compliance (Curfew)
5. Probation order: non-compliance (Address Change)
6. Probation order: non-compliance (Approved Address)
