On August 7, 2017 at approximately 6:10 p.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of an attempted break-in to a residence located on Highpoint Crescent in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The resident went to investigate after hearing a load noise at the back door. The noise was as a result of an unknown male forcibly entering through door. The suspect fled the scene as soon as he was confronted by the homeowner.
Police learned that about 10 minutes prior to the break-in, the homeowner's wife had observed a grey coloured vehicle, occupied by a male and female, in their driveway. The female had approached the residence and was seen looking into the windows. She had knocked on the front door but the resident didn't open it as she didn't recognize the woman.
The female suspect was described as being in her late 20's to early 30's, with dark brown hair piled on top of her head, wearing a white dress with multi-colours on it. Her back was covered in tattoos.
The male suspect looked to be in his 30's and had dark hair.
