opp-crash-fullOne person is dead after a crash between a car and dump truck on Highway 6.

Highway 6 between Southgate Road 12 and Southgate Road 8, in the Township of Southgate was closed for a number of hours.

At approximately 1:47 p.m. Friday, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a collision on Hwy. 6 involving a passenger vehicle and a dump truck.

The lone driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The driver of the dump truck, a 53-year old male from Listowel, Ontario, was not injured.

The investigation continues with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI).
