Serious collision on the east side of Owen Sound sends one man to hospital.

On September 25th, 2017, at approximately 2:10 p.m., the Owen Sound Police Service along with Owen Sound Fire and EMS responded to a collision in the 2300 block of 9th Avenue East in Owen Sound.

A 69 year old Owen Sound man was driving his Toyota Corolla southbound when it struck a parked vehicle that was facing north on the opposite side of the roadway. The 69 year old driver suffered significant injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was treated. The owner of the parked vehicle was located at a residence nearby and notified of the collision.

Both vehicles sustained major damage and required a tow truck to remove them from the roadway.

This collision is still under investigation and police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or who has information, to contact the investigating officer Constable J. Gurney at (519) 376-1234 x 174.
