opp-bgraphic-fullOn September 25, 2017 at 1:58 a.m., members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police were conducting R.I.D.E. on Park Street in Ripley when they observed a Grey Toyota Corolla drive by.

The Corolla went east along Park Street and officers located it in a lagoon beyond the east end of Park Street in Ripley. Through investigation, officers determined that the car had been reported stolen.

Members of the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit and OPP Aviation Services assisted the South Bruce OPP with locating the driver.

OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) divers assisted with the recovery of the car.

The search for the occupants of the vehicle continues.

Suspicious vehicles and suspicious people should be reported to police as soon as possible so that an officer can investigate.
