flare-fullPolice are seeking the public's assistance with suspicious structure fire.

On May 22, 2017 at approximately 9:24 a.m., South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police, together with the Chesley Fire Department, Elmwood Fire Department and the Tara Fire Department, responded to a report of a structure fire on Fourth Street SE in the Municipality Arran-Elderslie.

The structure, a detached residence, was occupied by a lone 18 year old male who exited through a second storey window in an effort to escape the fire. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries and transported to hospital for further examination.

The Ontario Fire Marshal Office investigated the scene. The cause of the fire was undetermined.

Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information which may assist to contact South Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
