Another case of a smash and grab in Owen Sound.
On Tuesday October 24th, 2017 6:20 a.m. the passenger side window of a 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe was smashed and the owners purse stolen from the front passengers seat.
The vehicle had been park at the YMCA Recreation Centre situated at 700 10th Street East Owen Sound. It was later discovered that the victim's stolen credit and debit cards were used at various locations in the downtown Owen Sound to purchase items.
Further investigation lead to the arrest of a 28 year old man and a 27 year old female. The couple are residents of Owen Sound. They now face criminal charges of Possession of Stolen Property and several counts of Use a Stolen Credit Card. They are to appear in the Owen Sound Court of Justice on November 30th, 2017 to answer to their list of charges.
