Motor vehicle collision results in charges.

On 25 October 2017 at approximately 12:10 pm Owen Sound Police along with Owen Sound Fire and Grey County EMS attended a two vehicle collision at the intersection of 9th Avenue East and 16th Street East.

The investigation revealed that at 66 year old Owen Sound female was travelling north bound on 9th Avenue East in a 2013 Nissan SUV. As she proceeded through the intersection at 16th Street East she was side swiped by a 2015 Nissan SUV being driven by a 36 year old Elmwood female.

The force of the collision caused the 2013 Nissan SUV to leave the roadway coming to rest on the front lawn of a local business. The 66 year old female received minor injuries. The advanced safety equipment including front and side air bags are credited with limiting injury. Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from the scene.

The 36 year old female was charged with; red light fail to stop contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
