On February 26, 2018 at 9:56 p.m. Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a flipped over plane at the Tobermory Airport on Warner Bay Road.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. the white Cesena 172 Seahawk was attempting to land but due to the amount of snow on the runway the wheels became caught and the plane flipped. The lone male pilot exited the plane without any injuries. The plane sustained significant damage as a result of the collision.

The pilot of the plane is from Cambridge and the plane is owned by a company in Breslau, Ontario.

Anyone with information that can assist Bruce Peninsula OPP with this investigation can call 1-888-310-1122.
