The Great Front Porch Light-bulb Giveaway comes to downtown Owen Sound on May 1.

The United Way of Bruce Grey leadership reached out to Hydro One to see if there was an opportunity to partner to brighten the streets. In response, Hydro One is providing  150 LED light bulbs to help light up this downtown neighbourhood, and Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce will be on hand to help distribute them.

These low energy light bulbs can brighten porches, backyards etc

Bulbs will be distributed in the evening of Tuesday, May 1st from 6 pm to 8 pm. The volunteers will gather in the parking lot at the corner of 11th Street East and 3rd Avenue East. Community members in the 11th Street East area downtown are invited to come and help.
