The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Thornbury.
On Saturday, July 21, between 5:00 and 6:00 pm, a man was bitten by a medium-sized black dog of unknown breed. The dog was off leash. The incident occurred by the east entrance of the Georgian Trail at the corner of Victoria St. N. and King St. W.
Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
