The Water Advisory put into place by the city on Tuesday has been lifted. Residents are now able to resume normal use of their water services.
The affected area consisted of all properties north of 8th Street West, above the hill on the escarpment.
"We would like to thank all of the residents and businesses for their patience while we worked to resolve this situation," said Dennis Kefalas, Director of Public Works and Engineering. "The City has a state of the art water treatment plant, operated by a professional and dedicated staff and we look forward to continuing to supply the residents of Owen Sound with clean and safe drinking water," concluded Kefalas.
Being that the Water Advisory has been lifted after normal business hours, the city encourages residents who were in the affected area to notify their neighbors that the advisory has been lifted and that normal water use may resume.
