A fundraising event for the new Meaford Public Library will feature the Right Honourable Jean Chrétien
On Sunday, October 28, 2018, the Meaford Public Library will host Jean Chrétien in an exclusive fundraising event. Beginning at 2 pm in the Meaford Hall Opera House, Jean Chrétien will be joined by veteran CBC broadcaster and journalist Christopher Thomas who will interview him about his new book, My Stories, My Times.
One of the most popular Canadian prime ministers in recent history, elected to government for three consecutive majority terms, Jean Chrétien has some stories to tell. In My Stories, My Times, Chrétien recounts with warmth, insight, and his distinctive sense of humour many behind-the-scenes stories from a long, distinguished, and colourful career.
Each $100 ticket for this special fundraiser to support the new Meaford Public Library building will include an autographed copy of My Stories, My Times which will be published by Penguin Random House on October 23, 2018. This event is a partnership between the Meaford Public Library, the Meaford Public Library Fundraising Committee, the Friends of the Meaford Library, and Penguin Random House Canada.
