The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Durham.
On Monday, September 17, 2018, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a woman was bitten by a medium, dark brown, shorthaired, dog, possibly a Border Collie or Border Collie mix. The incident occurred in the west end of the Durham Conservation Area.
Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
