OWEN SOUND – Grey County OPP is investigating a bomb threat at the Rockford Petro Canada Gas Station at the intersection of Highway 6 and 10 at Grey Rd. 18 in the Municipality of Meaford, just south of Owen Sound.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, Tuesday, October 21, 2014, police received a report of a bomb threat at the above location, the OPP said in a news release.

Police have evacuated the immediate area.

The following roads are closed to traffic at this time:

Grey Rd. 18 from Concession 3 (Derby) east to Concession 10 (Sydehnam)

Hwy. 6 & 10 from Storey Book Park Rd. (Meaford) south to Grey Rd. 16 (Chatsworth)

Motorists are asked to avoid this area until further notice.
