opp-p0lice-july-fullCHATSWORTH – On Monday, October 27, 2014 at approximately 1:15 p.m., Grey County OPP responded to a report of a plane crash in the Township of Chatsworth.

Grey County OPP, together with the Inter-Township Fire Department and Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) attended the crash site located on Sideroad 1, south of Keady, in the Township of Chatsworth.

The lone pilot had left the air strip located at his residence on Sideroad 1, in his two seater, Challenger Ultra-lite plane. The plane lost power and crashed in a field approximately one km west of his residence. The 56-year old pilot was not injured. The plane was heavily damaged.

The Transportation Safety Bureau has been notified.
