leonsIn the wake of substantial growth in Bruce and Grey counties, Leon’s in Owen Sound is happy to announce their relocation to the historic Sears building at the Heritage Place Mall, located at 1650 16th Street East. The move is expected to happen in spring of 2019 after renovations are completed.

“We are excited to expand our Owen Sound showroom, and to be moving into such an iconic building is incredible. We believe that this move is great for the community and the Heritage Place Mall” says Owner, Phil Macdonald.

The new location will have many benefits for Leon’s and their customers. The new showroom will be close to double the size of their current location. This larger space will give customers a much wider selection of products to choose from. The new building is also in a much more central location, making it more convenient for shoppers.

“We are excited to become part of the future of the retail landscape of Owen Sound, specifically the Heritage Place Mall” says Phil. “It’s such a great location and we are excited for the move”.

Leon’s has seen a lot of growth in the area. Since purchasing the Collingwood location in 2010 the Macdonald family quickly expanded to the Owen Sound market in 2014, purchasing the Leon’s business from the Beattie family. In 2018 the Macdonald’s expanded adding Leon’s in Orillia to their portfolio.

Now the largest Leon’s Furniture franchise chain in Canada, the need for expanding the showroom is evident. Both Leon’s and the Heritage Place Mall are excited for the change. The move is scheduled for spring of 2019.
