saladCelebrate Nutrition Month with the new Canada’s Food Guide.

This March, join dietitians across the county to celebrate Nutrition Month and recognize the potential food has to positively impact our lives.

Food creates the power to fuel active lifestyles, enhance learning, support healing and wellness and bring people together.

This year, there is more to discover with the recent changes of Canada’s Food Guide.

Throughout March, the Grey Bruce Health Unit’s Nutrition Month campaign will promote helpful resources and tips to better understand the new food guide.

“Our campaign highlights the role of dietitians in Grey Bruce.” says Laura Needham, Public Health Dietitian. “Dietitians work with communities to promote health and wellness through food. We have a passion for food, nutrition and to inspire everyone to unlock food’s potential in their lives.”

Community members are encouraged to join the conversation with Public Health through Facebook and Twitter. To learn more about how you can host Nutrition Month activities, visit the Public Health website or contact the local public health dietitian.
