Mud Kitchen

UBC Local 2222 is giving away 10 custom made, hand crafted Mud Kitchens to schools in Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth counties through a Social Media Giveaway.

While they may be messy, they’re one of the most exciting things that kids look forward to when they go outside for recess. Mud Kitchens are handcrafted by members at UBC Local 2222 and are designed for hours of endless entertainment on the playground. Mud kitchens provide great learning opportunities for younger children by helping them to enhance their creative, imaginative and sensitive faculties.

“We recently received a request to donate some scrap material for the future construction of mud kitchens,” says Ryan Plante, Local Union Coordinator. “It's important for UBC Local 2222 to give back to the communities that we live and work in. We believe in using our skills to help these communities grow.”

Would your school like to have its very own Mud Kitchen? Help make that happen! We encourage you to spread the word to help your school win. Visit the UBC Local 2222 Facebook page (@UBClocal2222) and check for the pinned post at the top of the page. Like the UBC Local 2222 page, share the post and leave a comment with your school’s name. The 10 schools who receive the most comments by November 15th will receive their very own handcrafted Mud Kitchen from UBC Local 2222.
