On November 1, 2019 at 9:17 a.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a collision involving a school bus and a horse drawn buggy on Concession 12, between Side Road 5 and Side Road 6, Chatsworth.

OPP officers were assisted at the scene by Chesley Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedics.

The bus and horse drawn buggy were going the same direction on the roadway and as the bus was passing the horse drawn buggy, the horse moved into the path of the bus causing a collision. There were no children on the bus at the time of the collision.

The 35 year old female driver of the buggy sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital. The horse was put down at the scene due to its injuries.  

OPP will not be laying any charges.
