opp-cuffs-fullLUCKNOW – On January 2, 2015, a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Campbell Street in Lucknow recognized a man who was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. The man fought with police and managed to drive off in a White Oldsmobile. The vehicle was located and stopped in Perth County where the man was arrested without incident.

A 32-year-old resident of Huron-Kinloss Township has been charged with dangerous driving, drive while disqualified, assault peace officer, personation and two counts of breach probation. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for January 2, 2015. There were no injuries to the police or the accused reported in this incident.

Truck stolen from Kilsyth

GEORGIAN BLUFFS - On Sunday, January 4, 2015 at approximately 5:20 p.m., Grey County OPP received a report of a stolen vehicle. A grey, 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, VIN: 2GCEK13T761279598, with attached Ontario licence plate 933 9VW, was stolen from the owner's lane way located on Concession 7, Kilsyth, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The theft occurred sometime between 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3rd and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4th.

Police probe break-in

KINLOSS TOWNSHIP – On January 2, 2015 at 11:33 am, the South Bruce OPP received a break and enter report from a residence in the 800 block of Grey Ox Avenue in Kinloss Township. Sometime between December 26, 2014 and January 1, 2015 the home was forcibly entered. The list of stolen property includes 2 black solar LED lanterns, hammer, screwdriver and a folding saw with a black handle. The value of the stolen items is estimated to be more than $200. Tracks found nearby are similar to what would be left be an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). Residents are encouraged to report suspicious vehicles and suspicious people as soon as possible so officers can investigate.

Landfill office broken into

GREENOCK TOWNSHIP – On January 3, 2015 at 8:14 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a break in from the Greenock Landfill Site located in the 500 block of Concession 10 in Greenock Township. Sometime between 6:00 pm on December 27, 2014 and 8:00 am on January 3, 2015 the landfill office was forcibly entered. There are no items reported missing at present. There is no estimate on the value of the repairs to the office area at this time.

Tools stolen from trailer

COLLINGWOOD - Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the OPP are currently investigating a theft from a trailer in Collingwood and are asking for the public's help in solving this crime.

The theft took place between the 31st of December 2014 and the 2nd of January 2015 where a small trailer was broken into where it was parked at the back of 115 Hurontario Street. Culprit(s) forcibly entered the trailer and made off with several tools described as:

• Arbortech cutting tool, black and orange in color

• Hilti wrecking hammer, red and white in color

• Stihl quickcut, orange and white in color
