The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is participating in the recognition of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Violence Prevention Grey Bruce is seeking the coordinated efforts of all Grey and Bruce County municipalities as well as the County Courthouses in lowering their respective flags in remembrance.
December 6, 2019 marks the 30th year anniversary of the murders of 14 female university students at L’ Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
On December 6, 2019, the Town will be lowering the flag at Town Hall in remembrance of the tragedy and to raise awareness about the need to prevent gender-based violence.
