Zero waste would reduce our municipal expenses, protect our water and soil, reduce our dependence on petroleum and our consumption of natural resources.
If you're wondering whether this is a reasonable goal, you are invited to a Waste Management Panel on Thursday, November 21 at the Harmony Centre, starting at 7 p.m.
Panelists will include:
Mayor Ian Boddy or Councillor Scott Greig, City of Owen Sound
Jim Ellis, Southgate Works Manager
Tori Perejmybida, Director of Infrastructure Services, Meaford
Laura Wood, Owen Sound Waste Watchers
Amber Robinson, backyard composter
Barry Randall, Managing Director, GBSusnet and Summerfolk Zero Waste Committee
All ages are welcome.
Another free community information event hosted by the Climate Action Team (CAT) Grey-Bruce.
