Project LifesaverVictim Services Bruce Grey Perth is working towards launching Project Lifesaver. In partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Grey and Bruce Counties, the program will be available to residents of Grey and Bruce Counties once it goes live.

The primary mission of Project Lifesaver is to provide timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children with the propensity to wander. Using cutting edge locating technology, Project Lifesaver allows emergency responders to quickly locate and reunite missing family members. For more information, please check online at: https://projectlifesaver.org/.

The program has a large start-up cost that Victim Services Bruce Grey Perth is currently seeking donations to assist with. On December 8, 2019, a generous donation from the Tiverton Reunion Committee brought the launch of Operation Lifesaver much closer for the residents of Grey and Bruce Counties.

“When a loved one goes missing, it’s a very scary time for the family. If your loved one forgets their name or where they live, that’s exponentially worse. A missing person is an emergency situation where time matters. The longer someone is missing, the greater the concern for their wellbeing. Project Lifesaver gives families peace of mind because your missing love one is located so quickly. We are very grateful that the Tiverton Reunion committee chose to donate to this very worthwhile cause” – Anne Elliott, Managing Director, Victim Services Bruce Grey Perth.
