The Climate Action Team of Grey Bruce Owen Sound is hosting a public meeting with guest speaker Jamie Grimoldby, Operations Manager of Miller Waste, on Thursday, Jan. 23rd at 7:00 pm at the Harmony Center in Owen Sound. Grimoldby will speak about recycling – both the challenges and opportunities, providing visual examples of different materials.  A question and answer period will follow.

We invite the public to bring samples of items they may have questions about, so that we can all be educated about what’s recyclable. We will donate any containers with food to OSHARE. Any empty containers will have to be taken home.

The Climate Action Team (CATBGOS) is a group of concerned citizens that has been meeting regularly since the screening of the Resilience: Transforming Our Future climate change film of hope and action. CATBGOS’ goal is to take action to mitigate climate change and to solicit community support to help in our efforts. Education is a key component of what we do, so come out and bring your questions and ideas.
