Members of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation (comprised of the two First Nations communities of Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation and Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation) are preparing to vote on Ontario Power Generation’s proposed deep geologic repository project.

Members can vote in three ways: online, in person or via the mail. Online voting has been open since January 11th, 2020 and will remain open until the polls close at 8:00 pm on January 31st. Polling stations in both communities will be open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on January 31st.

The polls close at 8:00 pm on Friday, January 31st and ballots will be counted thereafter. We expect to have a final tally by 10:00 pm.
