The Grey Bruce Health Unit thanks the public for their assistance in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Teeswater, last Saturday. The owner of the dog has come forward.
By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
On Saturday, February 22, 2020, between 3:40 - 4:30pm, a woman was bitten by a large black lab named Marley. The incident occurred at Hillcrest Street West and Andrew Street. The dog was in the care of a man when it jumped up and bit the woman.
Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
