canadian flagThe flags at the market square flag pole are at half-mast today in recognition of the National Day of Mourning. This day is dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives, or suffered injury or illness at work.

“Through this pandemic, the health and safety of our family, friends, and workers is more relevant than ever,” said Rob Armstrong, CAO/Director of Development Services. “Every worker has the right to be safe and return home at the end of each work day. By working together we can prevent worker illness, injuries and death.”

Join the Municipality of Meaford today as we remember and honour those lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy. We are taking this opportunity to collectively renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace, and prevent further injuries, illnesses and deaths.
