In accordance with the Ministerial Order for Ontario school closures and physical distancing measures due to COVID-19, the Community Planning and Partnerships meeting that was to be hosted by Bluewater District School Board and Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 has been cancelled.
For the past two years, both school boards have jointly hosted the meeting to encourage information sharing and the exchange of ideas and needs among invited community organizations for potential partnership opportunities.
The Ministry of Education’s Community Planning and Partnerships Guideline encourages school boards and potential community partners to share planning information regularly, which may lead to mutually beneficial opportunities to share school facilities. This includes new builds or renovations, and when considering the use of unoccupied school space, and school properties that may be considered for future disposition.
Community organizations may indicate their interest in partnerships at any time by completing Bluewater District School Board’s Application of Interest for Community Facility Partnership, available on the board website at www.bwdsb.on.ca/business/CPP, and by contacting Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board.
Additional information on Community Planning and Partnerships for Bluewater District School Board, including updates regarding potential new school builds, significant renovations, and available space in existing schools, can be found at www.bwdsb.on.ca/business/CPP.
