The Municipality of Meaford has made the difficult decision to close the Blue Dolphin Pool for the 2020 season.

The pool requires significant preparation and staff-time to set-up and get ready to open in June, including hiring temporary staff to allow guests to swim safely. The facility is also limited in the social distancing measures that could be put in place.

As we do not know when the current restrictions on recreational activities will be lifted, or what measures may be required to make the pool safe for swimming lessons or for the public to enjoy recreationally, the pool will stay closed for the remainder of 2020.

The Municipality will investigate alternatives for residents once restriction on recreational activities have been lifted.
