The March in Support of Black Lives Matter is taking place in Wiarton on Saturday June 13 at 10am and will end with  speeches and music.

Our intention is to draw awareness to the Black Lives Matter movement and demonstrate opposition to anti-Black racism in our community.

We also encourage donations through the GoFundMe link on the event Facebook page to support Midway Medics, a grassroots organization that is aiding wounded demonstrators in Minneapolis - more information about this will follow.

This march will start at the parking lot at Bayview and William St (behind Mr. Beer) at 10am and it will end in the Louisa St parking lot. Please arrive by 9:30am to receive instructions for the march. We encourage participants to park at either the Library off William St, the Baseball diamond off Brown St or the Wiarton Arena & Community Centre at George and Taylor St.

We insist that ALL participants wear facial masks and abide by social (physical) distancing measures. If you feel unwell, please stay home.

Please bring your own water and sunscreen if required. No washroom facilities will be provided.
