Tesla Starman
– by Bill Moses

Elon Musk has to be given a lot of credit for developing electric vehicles because it has forced the entire industry to get on board, using batteries for which he developed the technology.

His Space-X program has dramatically reduced the cost of transporting people and materials into space.

I do have a problem with his goal of establishing self-sustaining human colonies outside of Earth. This is looking ahead to a problem we may have in a million years (or sooner if we don't smarten up).

We have social problems right now that need to be addressed. Of course these are political issues that don't have hi-tech solutions – yet.

The $45 billion he spent on Twitter could better have been spent establishing a self-sustaining colony on Earth.
