internetMP Larry Miller applauds Xplornet for enhancements to internet services at McVicar Site.

Larry Miller, Member of Parliament for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, is pleased to learn that Xplornet Communications Inc. has recently completed an expansion of internet services at their McVicar site (on Highway 6, just North of Johnson's Harbour Road) which will serve the surrounding area on the Bruce Peninsula.

Xplornet recently completed the construction of the new tower which will provide 3.5 Ghz of new frequency at this site. This will expand LTE services to the surrounding communities. LTE is Xplornet's latest fixed wireless technology and is used to deliver faster internet speeds and more data to rural areas. This new investment will result in a significant improvement in internet speed and more reliability for residents.

"I am very pleased to learn that Xplornet has once again expanded their services to more remote communities on the Bruce Peninsula," said Miller. "We are increasingly becoming more reliant on the internet for day-to-day activities. Banking, paying bills, even grocery shopping can now take place over the internet. That is why investments in internet services for remote communities are so important. Residents in the area will now have the access to the internet services they need."

Those with questions about the expanded services should contact Xplornet at 1-866-841-6001.
