Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker says he is excited about the opportunity to serve as the new Associate Minister of Energy in Premier Doug Ford’s cabinet. MPP Walker will stay in cabinet, but will move from Government and Consumer Services to Energy.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to serve as Associate Minister of Energy,” said Walker. “Bruce Power is one of the key partners in our province’s energy sector and it’s right in our backyard here in Bruce and Grey. Energy is a very important portfolio and I look forward to getting to work together with the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines, and Minister of Indigenous Affairs Greg Rickford so we can deliver a modern, transparent and accountable electricity system that works for the people and businesses of Ontario.”

Walker has served as PC Caucus Nuclear Chair for a number of years and prior to being elected MPP, he worked as Operations Manager at Bruce Power.
