At a series of Green New Deal town halls in the region, the non-partisan group of organizers announced they would hold a public All Candidates Climate Emergency Debate for the riding. The meeting this Tuesday, September 10 at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound will be the first opportunity for residents of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound  to see most of the local federal candidates on the stage together.

Candidates who have committed to participate in the meeting are  Michael Den Tandt -Liberal ; Danielle Valiquette -Green;  Chris Stephen -NDP; Alex Ruff- Conservative and William Townsend- People's Party. Dan Little, running for Libertarian is unable to attend due to his work schedule.  Each candidate will be allowed to give a synopsis of their party's plans on the issue of climate change, followed by a public question and answer period.

The Owen Sound Green New Deal town hall group is looking forward to a positive, solutions- based conversation.

The Harmony Centre is at 890 4th Ave.East; Owen Sound. Doors willopen at 6:30pm; meeting will be 7 to 9:00pm .
