On the eve of the official start of the 2019 federal election campaign, residents of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound had their first look at the candidates and party platforms side by side.

The seats and balcony standing room in the Harmony Centre studio were full for an all candidates meeting that grew out of regional Green New Deal town halls.

Each candidate had five minutes to speak on climate change and Canada's Green New Deal , the shared vision of Canada's future from a diverse movement across the country.  Then questions were taken from the floor.

Because we want you to hear candidates speak for themselves, and to see for yourself what the parties have published on the subject, we offer you the video of the event and links to the parties' positions.

(Community-organized events like these rely on volunteers willing to share their expertise – poster design, publicity, moderation, sound and video, and chair stacking! Thank you to all who made it happen, and to the Harmony Centre for being available for public engagement.)
