On February 21 2021 the Owen Sound Police commenced an investigation regarding domestic threats, mischief along with weapons offences.

The investigation revealed that a local 21-year-old male had threatened a female and destroyed some of her property. When police arrived at the residence they observed a firearm in plain sight. The firearm was made safe and found to have been loaded. Further the firearm had been sawed off making it a prohibited firearm.

Police arrested the male without incident. He was charged with uttering threats, domestic mischief and 5 additional charges relating to the possession of the firearm.

The male was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing on February 22, 2021.
