On Tuesday September 21st, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m. an intoxicated female was observed inside the LCBO store located at 1613 9th Avenue East, Owen Sound, which drew the attention of several staff members. The woman browsed around inside the store before eventually leaving the premise and entering the drivers seat of her vehicle parked in the lot. LCBO staff stalled the female and made attempts to prevent her from driving, until members of the Owen Sound Police Service arrived. Upon speaking to the woman, she was observed to be showing signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested.

The 28 year old woman from Owen Sound was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having more than 80mg of alcohol in her blood. The vehicle involved has been impounded for 7 days and the woman’s drivers licence suspended. She is to appear in Court on October 7th, 2021, in Owen Sound to answer to the charge.
