In October of 2021, the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) welcomed Staff Sergeant Keegan Wilcox as their new Operations Manager.
Staff Sergeant Wilcox started his policing career in 2008 when he joined the Ontario Provincial Police and was posted to the Huron County detachment. He then transitioned to the Kirkland Lake Detachment, where he worked as a frontline officer for a number of years and completed a Crime Unit secondment.
In 2016, after being promoted to Sergeant, Wilcox transferred to the South Bruce detachment where he filled several rolls including a Platoon Supervisor, Municipal Liaison Sergeant, Court Sergeant, and Acting Detachment Manager. In 2018, he also became an Incident Commander, a role which he continues to serve in.
"Grey Bruce is a beautiful area and I am very proud to be a part of the Grey Bruce OPP Detachment. I am extremely excited and honoured to be a Detachment Manager here. I strive to be a compassionate leader while focusing on supporting our members. I look forward to working with our community stakeholders, leaders and policing partners to work collaboratively to ensure public safety."
