Grey Bruce OPP is investigating a fatal collision involving a single vehicle and a deer on Highway 21 Thursday, Dec. 29, in Georgian Bluffs.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, at 11:56 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision along Highway 21 in Georgian Bluffs Township.
Officers responded to the scene with members of the Intertownship Fire Department and Grey County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to find a vehicle had collided with a deer.
The driver was taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. Their identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
The Grey Bruce OPP is continuing to investigate the collision along with members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team and the coroner's office.
Highway 21 was closed at the scene for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened for traffic.
