Owen Sound Police arrest two males who were stealing from unlocked cars.
During the early morning hours of December 20th, Owen Sound Police were alerted by an early riser of 2 males seen entering vehicles in the lower 7th Avenue East area. Officers attended and located two sets of tracks coming and going from vehicles. Owen Sound officers proceeded to follow the tracks through fields and bush over a span of several kilometers before catching up with the thieves.
Police arrested a 14 year old Owen Sound male and a 19 year old Owen Sound male. Recovered was a quantity of coins and other small items.
The 14 year old male was held for bail court this morning for offences of theft, possession of stolen property, prowl by night, breach of probation and breach of an Undertaking.
The 19 year old male was able to be released but must return to court at a later date to answer to charges of theft, possession of stolen property and prowl by night.
