apple treeGrey County Ontario Provincial Police is investigating the theft of several hundred apple tree saplings from farm land located on the 7th Line, south of Highway 26, in the Municipality of Meaford. They are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for the theft.

On May 6, 2018, Grey County OPP received a call from the victim reporting that sometime between 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 4th and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6th, approximately 500 apple tree saplings were stolen by unknown person(s). The total value of the stolen saplings was estimated at $4000.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information, which may assist, to call Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
