opp-crash-fullAir ambulance called after two vehicle crash.

On May 26, 2018 at 12:17 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a 2 vehicle crash on Highway 9 in Carrick Township. Officers arrived with members of the Mildmay-Carrick Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedics to find that a Black pick-up truck had turned into the path of a Grey car.

The occupants of the car, a 74-year-old male from Chatham and 71-year-old female from Chatham, were air-lifted to a London hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pick-up, a 16-year-old South Bruce teen, was treated at a local hospital and released.

Highway 9 was closed between Side road 21/22 and Bruce County Road 3 for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened to traffic.

The crash investigation is continuing.
