Impaired driver facing a day in court.
On June 3, 2018 at 4:40 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a possible impaired driver in a dark Blue/Grey pick-up truck. Officers located the vehicle on Union Street in Tara and the driver was found to have been drinking alcohol.
Forty-seven-year old Joseph Girard of Arran-Elderslie Township was charged with impaired care or control, care or control over 80 milligrams, fail to identify and novice driver with blood alcohol above zero. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 4, 2018 to answer to the charges.
