On June 9, 2018 at 9:53 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Bruce County Road 3 and Bruce County Road 2 in Brant Township. Officers arrived with Bruce County Paramedics to find a marked OPP police vehicle and a motorcycle involved in the collision.
Both the motorcycle operator and the OPP officer were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The road has been closed at the intersection of Bruce County Road 3 and Bruce County Road 2 for the safety of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident location.
The OPP has notified the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.
