drugsThe Owen Sound Police Service continue their efforts to get dangerous Fentanyl and Methamphetamine off city streets. During the evening hours of June 28, 2018 police located and arrested a female who was suspected of trafficking both drugs.

Members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigations Branch arrested 28 year old Tiffany Johnson near city limits and found in her in possession of $4,900 worth of Methamphetamine, $2,200 in Fentanyl and over $1100 in cash proceeds believed to be from the sale of these narcotics. Johnson was also found to be wanted on three outstanding arrest warrants.

The seized Fentanyl was both red and purple in colour and is believed to be of high potency. Though the seized Fentanyl is similar in colour and appearance to what was suspected as being involved in yesterday's overdoses, police are unable to confirm whether the two drugs are from the same supply. Police are continuing their investigation.

Police are reminding the public that there still may be highly potent Fentanyl and Methamphetamine in the community.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time. If you have any information about criminal activity in Owen Sound, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or call the Owen Sound Police Service at 519-376-1234.
