Second suspect arrested in downtown robbery.

Detectives from the Owen Sound Police Criminal Investigations Branch and Intelligence Branch continued the investigation of the armed robbery incident.

Detectives acted quickly and identified the suspect that had escaped capture the previous evening.

On July 31st, 2018 just before 3:00 pm a uniform officer spotted the suspect in the area of Kelso Beach.

Detectives with assistance from uniform officers moved in and arrested the suspect without incident.

A 23 year old male from Chatsworth faces the following charges;

* Robbery with Offensive Weapon
* Wearing a Disguise in the Commission of an Offence
* Forcible Confinement
* Possession of Proceeds of Crime

The male will appear in Court in Owen Sound on August 1st, 2018 for a bail hearing.
