Ontario Provincial Police LogoGrey county opp lay charges in death investigation.

Following a lengthy investigation, members of the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Pete Liptrott of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have obtained a Canada wide arrest warrant for a 41-year-old woman.

On July 18, 2017, Grey County OPP and Emergency Medical Services responded to a Grey Highlands address in regards to a female in medical distress who was going through opioid withdrawal treatment. wantedThe female, Danielle BARHAM, 23-years-old, subsequently died at the Owen Sound Hospital on July 20, 2017.

Jessica Leigh MORRISON (photo attached) is wanted on a Canada wide arrest warrant for the following offences:

· Criminal Negligence Causing Death contrary to section 220(b) of the Criminal Code;

· Trafficking a Controlled Substance contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (6 counts); and with

· Selling a prescription drug recklessly contrary to section 31.4 of the Food and Drugs Act (2 counts).

Police are asking for the public's help in locating Jessica Leigh MORRISON. Her last known address was in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
