On January 10, 2019 just before 8:30 a.m., members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were investigating a suspect vehicle with one occupant at an address on Greenock-Elderslie Townline in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
During the investigation, the suspect fled the scene in the vehicle, striking two police cruisers and injuring an officer. The injured officer discharged a firearm at the suspect with unknown results.
On January 13, 2019, just before 2:00 p.m., South Bruce OPP members responded to an abandoned vehicle located at the Howick Minto Townline in South Bruce.
Through investigation, it was determined that an abandoned pickup truck had been located by a member of the public who contacted police. It was further determined that the vehicle, a black Dodge 3500 pickup truck with dual rear wheels was the subject vehicle in this investigation, and has since been recovered.
Jeremy Jason HOGG, 23-years-old remains outstanding.
